Foss Home and Village is a not-for-profit, mission-driven, experienced service provider that promotes excellent healthcare, quality of life, dignity and respect.

Having served the community since 1929, Foss has built an excellent reputation for quality and innovative services. Located in north Seattle’s Broadview neighborhood, Foss is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization affiliated with the Lutheran Church. At Foss we celebrate a diverse community, welcome individual differences and honor self-expression.

Foss has grown with the needs of our community and serves local residents and their families each year through our four programs:

Over a third of the exceptional Foss staff has been serving residents for over 10 years. This stability and continuity add to the incomparable care, and nurturing, the residents receive by a staff with a sincere love and appreciation for older adults.

Foss is a non-smoking community.

The Not-for-Profit Difference
The most fundamental difference between a not-for-profit and for-profit organization is the reason they exist. A not-for-profit entity has a mission that benefits the “greater good” of the community. All funds are used to further the mission of the organization, and are re-invested in the residents, their care and programs.
