Serving the community since 1929, Foss has an excellent reputation for quality care and innovative services. Foss was built upon the compassionate spirit of Dr. L. C. Foss and the Lutheran Welfare Society during the Great Depression.
Foss is a team of 250 caring people. Over 100 employees have worked at Foss for ten or more years. Our residents not only experience a high staff to resident ratio but receive quality care from people who know them. With employees from many different countries we celebrate a highly diverse staff who enrich the life and culture of the Foss community.
The Not-for-Profit Difference
The most fundamental difference between a not-for-profit and for-profit organization is the reason they exist. A not-for-profit entity has a mission that benefits the “greater good” of the community. All funds are used to further the mission of the organization, and are re-invested in the residents, their care and programs.
