Rehabilitation Services
We have a skilled team of on-site physical and occupational therapists who evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions as needed. Each discipline works individually on specific areas of treatment, but coordinates with the other disciplines to provide a comprehensive program. Once optimal function has been archived, they establish restorative programs to maintain the individual's level of independence.
Our physical therapists work on increasing the strength and mobility of the individual. Our occupational therapists work on teaching individuals how to do their everyday activities within their functional capabilities. Speech pathologists not only work on speech difficulties, but also specialize in cognitive and swallowing difficulties.
Our facilities include a gym with equipment designed for geriatrics, a kitchen to practice home skills, and a practice home bathroom set-up. We see patients in our Transitional Care Unit and residents in both our Long Term Care and Assisted Living settings.
We work closely with families tailoring programs to meet each one's needs. Our multidisciplinary approach allows for the optimal functioning of the individual and helps us recommend the appropriate living environment for each person.
