Spiritual nurture is important to all of us. Memories and rituals, prayers and hymns are stored in our hearts and minds to give us strength to love and hope for the future in God's Reign. Here at Foss Home, we strive to meet the needs of our residents by offering the following: one to one visits with prayer and sacred readings and sometimes a song or hymn, weekly Bible studies in all units of the Home, (the studies offer times of sharing for those who are able to share and Scripture readings and songs for those who listen), four weekly worship service opportunities for the nursing units, a monthly Catholic mass, (hearing devices and visual projection help the residents to experience the presence of God more fully during the worship experiences) and regular weekly Holy communion, opportunities for hearing songs of old and hymns and sing-a longs are offered throughout the week and rhythm instruments accompany the songs at times. Memorial services are offered for those family members and staff that request them. Foss works with hospice care and myself to care for families in the weeks and days before death of our residents.

As "Spiritual Services Coordinator", here at the Home I am committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have a deep appreciation for the diversity of faith walks in this rich community of staff and residents. Most of all I am committed and supportive to all faith walks and will provide devotional materials and conversations to all who have spiritual needs. My hope is that God can work through all of us here to create a unique and caring community.
