Foss Home has an in-house pharmacy (Ottersen’s Pharmaceutical Services) which serves both Foss Home and the Village. The pharmacy staff assess patient needs and makes recommendations on complex drug therapies. Services are provided seven days a week with after hours emergency service available.

Students from the University of Washington Department of Pharmacy participate in clerkships at Foss Home which involve them in nearly all nursing home and assisted living pharmacy activities. The emphasis is on clinical responsibilities. They round with the Foss Home medical director on a weekly basis, and work with nurse practitioners and other health professionals, as well as their pharmacy faculty member.
